Community Credit Lab is looking to add a part-time Fellow to our team. We partner with community-oriented organizations to develop affordable lending programs that get capital to people on their terms. Community Credit Lab provides support services and back office infrastructure that enables the actualization of affordable community lending programs designed to center people who traditionally face discrimination in the financial system. We’re a small team with a desire to continue building in ways that are additive to the ecosystem of community lending and collaborate to achieve an equitable economic recovery. You will succeed in this role if you are curious – about impact investing, lending, finance, nonprofits, our services, our partners, and about people who we seek to support – and ready to own and build out processes that balance efficiency with recognizing the individuality of each person and organization we work with.
Things you’ll be doing:
Supporting the team and our partners to keep our lending programs functioning well;
Processing loan applications, tracking loans and repayments and servicing loans;
Managing relationships with borrowers and key staff at our lending partners;
Aggregating, analyzing and visualizing data to be shared externally;
Designing and implementing ways to solicit feedback on programs and partnerships;
Drafting communications to be shared externally with the broader CCL community;
Participating in team meetings and sharing improvements to achieve our mission.

You’ll get to explore how we can prioritize impact and shift power within the financial system to ensure that we are centering people and entrepreneurs in our lending programs. You’ll be building alongside us with an eye towards these concepts, helping Community Credit Lab and our partners continue to achieve a more inclusive financial system.
This could be a great role before/after grad school or if you’re interested in starting or transitioning into a career in impact investing.
Commitment: We're looking for someone to commit to 6-12 months working 15 - 25 hours per week to get started (duration and scheduling to be discussed and mutually agreed).
Compensation: At this stage of our organizational growth, we are able to commit to compensation of $25/hour.
Location: Flexible with preference for Seattle, WA
Growth Potential: This role may also have potential to become a Full Time role if/when we:
1) Source philanthropic funding to cover all or a portion of the Full Time costs of this role; or
2) Secure service revenue to cover all or a portion of the Full Time costs of this role; and
3) Find the right candidate.
